Ecaleni LSEN School Hosts Autism Awareness Day with Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi

On 2nd April 2025, Ecaleni LSEN School proudly hosted Autism Awareness Day, welcoming learners, staff, and the community to a day of celebration, learning, and inclusivity. The event was graced by the presence of Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi, who engaged with learners and highlighted the importance of supporting children with special educational needs.

The day featured interactive activities, educational sessions, and demonstrations of life skills taught across various phases of the school. Premier Lesufi commended the dedication of Ecaleni LSEN educators and therapists in providing holistic support to learners with Severe Intellectual Disabilities, emphasizing that every child deserves opportunities to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
